Living Room – Relaxed Atmosphere “Palmento” means millstone or winepress. Wine was pressed here from 1827. The building’s structure and appeal were maintained during renovation and the 10-metre “torchio”, press beam, still dominates the vast main room. Together with the solid chestnut doors and floors and the artful wooden ceiling, the white roughcast walls create a unique atmosphere. Besides their rooms, guests are invited to use this 300-square-metre “salotto” – the living and dining room –, which is laid out on three levels. Two fireplaces, comfortable Sicilian furniture and settees invite to relax. We have a pool table for some fun and games. Satellite TV, internet access and a library are also available. Unwind on Palmento’s terrace, where we have deck chairs and seats. You can enjoy our delicious dinner at the large granite table surrounded by vine, lemon trees and rose bushes. |
